Tonight marks the final televised episode of WWE programming prior to Wrestlemania 35 that should come up with massive buildup eyeing the Sunday Night show. Already we have a couple of segments and a match official to hype up the show. But one of them should be separately mentioned due to a major fallout attached to it.
WWE.com announced that Kevin Owens Show will return to Smackdown Live one more time to discuss a Wrestlemania 35 match. Two of the bitter rivals of the roster will be special guests on it. AJ Styles and Randy Orton are the two concerned names to feature in the talk show segment as confirmed by WWE’s official website,
“With their WrestleMania 35 clash in sight, AJ Styles and Randy Orton will meet face-to-face one last time on The Kevin Owens Show before they collide on The Grandest Stage of Them All. With KO never afraid to stir things up between his guests on his always-provocative talk show, it’s almost a guarantee that The Phenomenal One and The Viper will get some final digs in before their battle on The Show of Shows. Exactly what will go down? Find out this Tuesday night on USA Network at 8/7 C.”
Now the interesting thing is that WWE might be planning a swerve around this talk-show segment on Smackdown. The dream Wrestlemania match lineup between AJ Styles and Randy Orton could be changed as the host of the show will be waiting to join them.
As reported by wrestlingnews.co, the plan is to insert Kevin Owens into the already announced match between Styles and Orton and make it a triple threat match. There’s no update available how the angle will progress further but the talk-show should plant the seeds for the change in lineup.
Kevin Owens is one of the most trusted players of WWE roster for Vince McMahon who does not have a place on the Wrestlemania match card, to date. So it does not come as a major surprise that the creative team will try hard to involve the former Universal Champion in a big match rather than letting him compete in the men’s battle royal.
