A huge congratulations to Seth Rollins as he is now the new Universal Champion on Monday Night Raw defeating Brock Lesnar in style. With odds completely against him, The Architect was able to pull off the shocker in the very first match of Wrestlemania 35. It started with utter chaos where Brock Lesnar decimated Seth Rollins with a knee followed by a vicious F-5 outside the ring.
Rollins could not recuperate from that as Brock Lesnar put him through the announce table, right away. He threw Rollins back into the ring only to hit some German Suplexes. The Man came back hitting a low blow on the beast when the referee was down after hitting Lesnar, accidentally.
Seth Rollins took the opportunity to hit a Superkick on Brock Lesnar and hit him with the Curb Stomp. Two more Stomps followed on the champion, right away, that was well enough to hand over the pinfall win for the Architect. With this victory, we have a new prime champion on WWE’s flagship show ending the nightmare title run of Brock Lesnar. Rollins celebrated in his trademark pose to kick off Wrestlemania on a plesant note.
The Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania 35 has the most organic feel on the match card. Brock Lesnar was the title-holder heading into the show as the biggest heel of the WWE brand. On the other hand, Seth Rollins is the regular roster member from the Monday Night Raw brand who’s been carrying the show for the last couple of years.
So this man was the perfect one to dethrone the beast incarnate from the championship reign. But the theory of keeping Brock Lesnar as the Universal Championship heading into the Saudi Arabia show was a bar for Vince McMahon to crown a new champion. So the Conqueror was a favorite one to retain the title at Wrestemania. However, we have witnessed the complete opposite in the original matchup at the biggest event of them all.
