With Wrestlemania 35 in the history books, we would now look forward to the next pay-per-view event hosted by WWE. Although not confirmed, it is likely that Money on the Bank is going to be the first WWE Network-exclusive live event special on May 19th. So from now onwards, each of the feuds will be moving forward eyeing this particular show.
It leads us to the question of the main event matches of the evening. There will be two ladder matches from the men and women’s division, for sure. Furthermore, two of the prime championships will also be on the line from Monday Night Raw. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are the two respective champions in their respective divisions.
So whom do they expect to face at Money in the Bank? We received some justified answers to this question courtesy of Dave Meltzer who informed us that Drew McIntyre will be the likely challenger for Seth Rollins for the Universal Champion. Even the future ads of WWE Live Events have also indicated the same. Here’s more from the source, (via ringsidenews.com)
“Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins also looks to be the match that WWE is going with. There is still time for WWE to change things, but McIntyre has been in the wings for a while waiting on a big push.”
As for the women’s division goes, Becky Lynch will have her first PPV championship defense against Lacey Evans. The fresh feud started at the post-Wrestlemania season which should culminate through a big title match at Money in the Bank PPV.
As for the other big feuds are concerned, Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against an anonymous opponent. Also, Roman Reigns will go into a new feud against Baron Corbin, who retired Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 35.
