Two of the big title matches of WWE’s upcoming PPV event will feature none other than the most popular star Becky Lynch. She will make history once again by putting both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s championships at the Money in the Bank PPV. It will be a history-making night where a female superstar pulls off double duties in one single night.
However, chances are relatively low to see her coming out of Money in the Bank PPV with both the championships. She will drop at least one of the championships considering that WWE officials consider her title reign has already become lackluster. Now they are considering to crown a new champion at the upcoming pay-per-view event.
As reported by Brad Shepard on the Oh You Didn’t Know wrestling podcast, Vince McMahon is quite high on Lacey Evans who is the number one contender for the Raw women’s championship. Chances are pretty high that she may end up winning the title on her very first championship contest on the main roster.
As per The Boss, this would shock the WWE Universe garnering more attention from the fans. Here’s what the source has stated on the situation,
“I was told WWE is strongly considering having Lacey Evans defeat Becky Lynch at Money In The Bank. Vince McMahon is very high on Evans and thinks it would be a ‘shocking moment’ if she won.”
In addition, Pinkvilla.com indicated that Vince McMahon may choose to backstab Becky Lynch, himself ensuring that Lacey Evans becomes a new champion. She can’t expect a better start of her championship reign than getting an endorsement from The Boss. As mentioned earlier, McMahon thinks that Lacey could be the future face of the women’s division and hence she may slowly start to take the spot reserved by Becky Lynch. We will see if the title changes hands at Money in the Bank 2019 on May 19th.
