The Undertaker is back inside the squared circle to perform in one more match. He will form a dream team with Roman Reigns against the heel team of Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules on this Sunday Night in a No Holds Barred match. This is a marquee match to headline the most extreme night of the year after which the Phenome is likely to feature in one of the main events of Summerslam.
According to the reports of Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, local ads have already started promoting an appearance of The Undertaker at Summerslam. The host venue, the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada has enlisted this marquee name into their listings. It is being said that The Undertaker will feature in a match against Drew McIntyre which is yet to be confirmed.
The source added that there is no surety whether the backstage officials will lock in this main event for Summerslam. Apparently, the creative plans are not moving towards this match, as for now. But the situation can change once Extreme Rules passes by,
“There is advertising for Toronto for SummerSlam for Undertaker and Drew McIntyre. I asked about that and I was told not to read anything into it. The fact that they’re advertising that match also tells me that Undertaker is probably going to be at Summerslam.”
At present, The Undertaker and Roman Reigns will team up at Extreme Rules to take on against the team of Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon in a No Holds Barred match. They are heavy favorites to win the bout, as well. But there would be a sure-shot fallout from this match if McIntyre has to compete against The Deadman at summer’s biggest event on August 11th.
