The lineup for Team Hulk Hogan has now been filled up as per the latest announcements from last night’s SmackDown. The legendary coach of the team could not have asked for a better team captain as none other than the franchise player of the WWE will lead the pack. It will be Roman Reigns who has now replaced Seth Rollins in the match set for WWE Crown Jewel.
As per the earlier announcements by the WWE, a tag team match will go down between Team Hulk Hogan and Team Ric Flair at Crown Jewel. Both team coaches will have five members on their teams to continue their long-standing rivalry which enters a new chapter. The Hulkster originally selected Universal Champion Seth Rollins to be his team captain. But The Architect will have to defend his Universal Title in a Falls Count Anywhere Match against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt on the same night. Hence, WWE pulled him out of the contest.
WWE.com has now confirmed that Roman Reigns will be replacing his Shield brethren,
“Hogan turned to The Big Dog to lead his pack and named Roman Reigns the new captain on SmackDown. In addition, Hogan filled out his roster with Rusev, Ricochet, Shorty G and Ali. Meanwhile, Flair has chosen his former Evolution stablemate Randy Orton as his captain and added King Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The final member of Team Flair is set to be revealed in the coming weeks.”
So for now, the team of Hulk Hogan is all set with the five vacancies being fulfilled. But Team Flair is still short of one name. With both Hogan and Flair set to appear on next week’s episode of Raw, we expect the latter name to drop a big announcement regarding the remaining superstar.
