Moving through the 2019 fall will lead us to the beginning of next year which eventually starts the WrestleMania plans for WWE. The creative team starts planning around the biggest event of the year, much earlier than expected. The same will happen for the 36th edition in which Roman Reigns will be a key part. After a hiatus of one year, the four-time WrestleMania main-eventer might get back his top position, as per the latest updates.

Slice Wrestling came up with a report claiming that ‘WWE is discussing for Roman Reigns to possibly become the top dog of the company.’ This could eventually lead him to become the WWE Champion over on Friday Night SmackDown. With WWE Universe not getting over with Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar’s title reigns, the franchise player of the company looks to be a much safer option for the company heads.

WWE now considers the title reign of Seth Rollins as a failure due to the negative reaction from the fans. Also, he has not entered the top 5 merchandise movers’ list despite being the top babyface of the Raw roster. Fans are also upset over the fact how Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston to win the WWE title on SmackDown. This makes Roman Reigns an automatic safe choice to become the next champion.

Also, he is the current favorite to win the 2020 Royal Rumble match, as per the betting odds released by SkyBet. Here are the top 10 superstars who are on the race to become WrestleMania main-eventers,

– Roman Reigns 9/2

– “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt 6/1

– Finn Balor 9/1

– Cain Velasquez 12/1

– Kevin Owens 12/1

– Daniel Bryan 14/1

– Drew McIntyre 14/1

– AJ Styles 16/1

– Aleister Black 16/1

– Big E 16/1

Roman Reigns is out of the main event picture for more than a year. Last year, it was this time around that he announced his Leukemia has returned from remission and thereby would force him to go in a hiatus. He made a triumphant comeback beating the evil disease but WWE is yet to insert him into the prime title picture. Hopefully, he will get back the top spot, soon enough.
